The Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) congratulated the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) for qualifying for the IPL 2023 final. This came as the Super Kings beat the defending champions Gujarat Titans (GT) by 15 runs at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on Tuesday, May 23.

LSG congratulated the Chennai-based franchise and wished to play the latter in the tournament final, scheduled to be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday, May 28.

For that to happen, Lucknow must beat five-time champions Mumbai Indians (MI) in the Eliminator in Chennai on Wednesday, May 24. If they win, LSG must also beat table-toppers GT in Qualifier 2 to reach the summit clash.

The franchise’s official handle tweeted:

“And, breathe…Congratulations, @ChennaiIPL! Hope we see each other soon.”

Fans on Twitter roasted LSG for their overconfidence on the microblogging platform. One user tweeted:

“Waah so much confidence…Mumbai will thrash you guys if u mess up in batting again tomorrow.”
